    Community

    Community

Community is everything to us here at Cooleman Court. Building positive relationships, providing charitable support and enriching our neighbourhood is an important part of what we do. Why do we do it? Because a thriving community is a win for everyone, and at the centre of that community is you.

For our team, it’s about understanding your needs and values so that we can effectively contribute to the local area. Throughout the year we support a number of community groups and sporting clubs, sponsor local events and festivals and get involved with local council initiatives. That’s in addition to the community service programs, like our Mums & Co program and Nappy Collective, and charitable pop ups and activations we offer in centre. Through our Mums & Co initiative we support Mummy's Wish, a national charity supporting mums living with cancer.

At a national level, Mirvac know that what supports our society as a whole improves the places they create. Investment in activities that enhance health and wellbeing within communities, as well as strengthen social inclusion, demonstrates a real and long-term commitment, both within and beyond the centre doors. Employment initiatives, cultural installations and volunteering programs are just some of the ways in which Mirvac makes a difference along with support for its national charity partner – The Smith Family. Locally, Cooleman Court is a proud ongoing supporter of 'Communities @ Work' in their food collection and Christmas Toy Appeal.

There’s always more we can do. We invite you to help shape our community by submitting your idea or cause for consideration or by making a community booking to fundraise or generate awareness in our centre. To make a community booking, please complete the below form or if you would like us to support your charity, club or group in any other way, please contact us at Centre Management on 6288 8800 or email us at info@coolemancourt.com.au. We’re wholehearted about helping to make our community great. Being part of that community comes down to you.

    Development

    The evolution of an icon

    We are taking some time!

Don’t know if you could call it an extreme makeover but we’re giving Level One a bit of a face lift. No need to just window-shop, you’ll still be able to hit your favourite stores centre wide!

What works are you completing on Level One?
We are refurbishing Level 1 of the Centre, with the exception of the Model & Moxham building located on the corner of Bay Street and Broadway, to improve the standard and presentation of the centre.
    Works will include:
    ·        New mall flooring
    ·        New mall ceilings and lighting
    ·        New column treatments and wall finishes to the lift and amenities
    ·        Introduction of public art to four of the mall columns, along with new mall furniture

    When will the works finish?
We anticipate all works will be completed by August 2018.

What will the construction work hours be?
Construction hours will comply with noise-restriction regulations under the Protection of the Environment Operations Act 1997. Standard hours of work are as specified in the development consent: Monday to Saturday, 7.30am to 10pm with no works on Sundays or public holidays.

Will we get any new retailers (or other specific stores)?
The refurbishment works on Level 1 as part of this project will only include works to the common mall areas. The introduction of new retailers on Level 1 does not form part of the upgrade works.

Will the works affect my day-to-day living as a nearby resident?
Due to the nature of the work there may be some minor noise and minor disruption, however we expect disruption to residents to be minimal, and will keep the community informed of any major works in advance.
